“Artificial intelligence” is evolving from a technical term into “new-quality productive forces” that drive fundamental scientific research and industrial upgrading. News from the academic summit “AI FOR DISCOVERY: From Paradigm Revolution to Industrial Restructuring” hosted yesterday at the North Yang Base of the HKUST Shanghai Center in the north part of the city indicates that The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology will advance the implementation of AI for Science in Shanghai. The Shenzhen Institute for Computational Science and Shanghai Jiuzhan Information Technology Co., Ltd. jointly signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the conference; in the future, they will rely on the Yashan big data platform to jointly promote fusion and innovation between artificial intelligence and scientific computing. Worth noting is that Jiuzhan Technology is a key incubated enterprise of the North Yang Base of the HKUST Shanghai Center. This time, its collaboration with the Shenzhen Institute for Computational Science verified the HKUST Shanghai Center’s innovation model of “incubation empowerment and ecosystem coordination.” (The Shanghai Observer)
