I recently started including green juice in my breakfasts, and honestly, it has been a pretty noticeable change. It’s not just another trend; there are real reasons why so many people have adopted it into their morning routines.

What caught my attention is that when you combine fresh vegetables like spinach, kale, or celery with fruits, you really get an impressive concentration of nutrients in a single glass. We’re talking about vitamins A and C that your immune system needs, as well as chlorophyll and polyphenols that protect your cells. The cucumber you add also helps a lot with hydration, especially if you want to feel more energized from the start.

The interesting thing is that, being liquid, your body processes everything much faster. The potassium and magnesium it contains even help prevent that bloated feeling that many wake up with. It’s like a natural energy boost without the need for caffeine, which is perfect if you prefer to wake up more gently.

Now, there’s something important I discovered: although the benefits of green juice are many, it shouldn’t be your only breakfast. According to what I’ve read, the extraction process removes a good part of the fiber, so ideally, it should be paired with something that has protein and solid fiber to keep your energy stable throughout the day.

If you want to try it, here’s my favorite recipe that works wonderfully. You need two cups of fresh spinach or kale, a large cucumber, two stalks of celery, a green apple, a small piece of ginger, and the juice of half a lemon. All I do is wash everything well, cut it into pieces, slowly pass it through the juicer, and add the lemon at the end to keep that bright green color. It’s best enjoyed freshly made to truly take advantage of all the benefits of green juice.

The truth is, once you try it regularly, you notice the difference in how you feel throughout the day. It’s totally worth experimenting with different ingredient combinations to find your favorite version.
