The discomfort of teeth that feel sharp when drinking cold beverages is really troublesome, isn't it? Recently, I’ve tried various desensitizing toothpaste products, and honestly, I’ve noticed there are quite a few differences depending on the brand.
First, what concerns me is the active ingredients. Most products contain aluminum lactate and potassium nitrate, which are said to be effective against sensitivity symptoms when combined. Also, many contain a fluoride concentration of 1,450 ppm, which is great for preventing cavities at the same time. However, products with abrasives might be a bit too harsh for sensitive teeth.
Personally, I recommend the type that contains no abrasives. It’s ideal for caring for sensitive teeth while being gentle. Products with orange mint or citrus scents are less likely to get boring with daily use. Additionally, if a product makes your teeth feel smooth and shiny, you can really feel that it’s working.
I’ve also tried dental brands like Shofu and Sunstar, which are sold specifically for dental professionals. They tend to be a bit more expensive, but the ingredients seem to be more reliable. That said, I believe that even easily accessible options at drugstores can be effective as long as the ingredients suit your needs. If you’re struggling with tooth sensitivity, choosing a product that matches your dental condition is the most important thing. It’s best to experiment and find the ointment that works perfectly for you.
