just saw this and wow—Trump apparently went nuclear on some GOP senators for publicly calling out that video on Truth Social. like, the one with the really offensive imagery of the Obamas. Tim Scott tried to reach him privately first, but when that didn't work, he posted on X saying it was the most racist thing he'd seen. Trump thought that was totally out of line, claiming they could've handled it privately since they work together all the time.
but it gets wilder. Katie Britt from Alabama praised Trump for taking the video down, and then Trump allegedly lost it on her—like, told people she was 'dead to him' and started using expletives. her office is now saying that's fake news, but the White House also came out saying Trump has 'great respect' for her, which... make that make sense lol.
trump blamed it on a random staffer and said no one got fired. when asked about it, he just defended the video as a 'strong statement' against voter fraud. the whole thing only stayed up for like 12 hours before getting deleted. kind of a mess honestly
