Unilever is reportedly considering the possibility of spinning off its food business.
Local time March 17, according to reports, informed sources said that Unilever is in the preliminary stages of considering splitting off its food business in order to further streamline its sprawling business portfolio. The company is in talks with advisers to explore future options, including a potential split of some or all of its food business. Some informed sources said the company is currently in the early stages of weighing various possibilities, but it may not carry out any transactions before 2027. In addition, the sources revealed that the deal valuation for Unilever’s food business could be in the hundreds of billions of dollars. The sources said the company has not yet made any final decisions and may also choose to keep its current structure or pursue other alternative options. (Jiemian News)
