The Chinese Ministry of Commerce responds to Meta's acquisition of Manus and issues regarding multinational corporate operations

Mars Finance news. On April 2, according to Xinhua News Agency, the Ministry of Commerce of China held a regular press conference on April 2. A reporter asked what measures the Chinese side would take regarding the acquisition of Manus by Meta, as well as related issues concerning companies’ cross-border operations. In response, He Yadong, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, said that the Chinese government supports companies in conducting cross-border operations and technology cooperation as needed; relevant conduct must comply with China’s laws and regulations and must go through the statutory procedures.
