I just found out that the Mexican consulate in Phoenix is organizing a pretty interesting golf tournament on May 1st. It's called "Swing for Mexico 2026," and the idea is to raise funds for university scholarships and women's entrepreneurship. Honestly, I think it's great that they thought of doing this as a full Mexican celebration, not just for golfers but also for families.

What caught my attention the most is that in Phoenix, Arizona, they have already helped nearly 200 Mexican women through their entrepreneurship program (Pceme), and globally, there are almost 3,000 people who have graduated. That’s pretty serious. Also, I heard the story of a girl, Adriana, who was able to finish her degree thanks to the consulate’s scholarships and now volunteers at legal support organizations. That’s definitely worth it.

If you don’t play golf, no problem. You can just go to the party with music, traditional food, and there’s even a small field for kids. The entry fee is US$30 for adults and US$15 for children. Honestly, if you’re in the Phoenix, Arizona area, it sounds like a good plan for a Friday.
