Alabama Recognized DAOs as Legal Entities and Became the Second U.S. State with Such a Law


The Gubernator of Alabama signed a law that grants DAOs legal status and limits the liability of their members and leaders. Now, such organizations can own property, enter into contracts, and participate in court cases if they have at least 100 members and are established for non-profit purposes, such as managing a blockchain network or smart contracts. В a16z Crypto believes this will simplify the creation and scaling of decentralized communities, and a similar bill in West Virginia has already been approved by the Палата представителей and is awaiting the Gubernator's signature.
