I just found out that there was a scheduled massive blackout in Mexico on February 25th. CFE had announced power outages in several states due to maintenance work on the grid. In Culiacán, Sinaloa, eleven communities were left without electricity, some experiencing interruptions of up to five hours. Places like Tacuichamona, Walamito, and Estancia de los García were affected between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Also in La Paz, Baja California Sur, there was a scheduled massive blackout from noon to 3 p.m. in areas such as El Triunfo, Los Planes, and La Ventana. Honestly, these maintenance power outages are quite common, but you never really prepare for them. CFE recommended unplugging sensitive devices before the blackout to prevent damage. If anyone experienced any issues during those outages, they could report it to line 071, which operates 24/7. I imagine many were left without refrigerators, air conditioning... What did you do during those blackouts?
