BREAKING: Drift Protocol Hacked: ~$270M+ Stolen

One of the biggest hacks in Solana history just happened.

Here's what we know so far:
🔹 Drift Protocol, a major Solana-based DEX, was exploited on April 1, 2026
🔹 Attacker drained ~$270M–$285M from Drift's vaults in under 1 hour
🔹 TVL dropped from $309M to just $41M
🔹 Root cause: Admin private key compromise (confirmed by PeckShield)
🔹 Hacker swapped stolen assets into USDC via Jupiter aggregator
🔹 Funds bridged to Ethereum: 19,913 ETH (~$42.6M) purchased so far
🔹 DRIFT token crashed 44%, falling from $0.0726 to $0.0408
🔹 Deposits and withdrawals suspended
🔹 Drift team coordinating with security firms, bridges and exchanges

Stolen Assets Breakdown:
→ 41.72M JLP tokens (~$155.6M)
→ 51.6M USDC (~$51.6M)
→ 125K WSOL (~$10.45M)
→ 164K cbBTC (~$11.29M)
→ Plus Fartcoin, wETH and other tokens

This is the largest Solana exploit since the $325M Wormhole hack in 2022.

⚠️ If You Used Drift Protocol:
→ Revoke all wallet approvals tied to Drift immediately
→ Do NOT deposit any funds
→ Monitor official @DriftProtocol updates

The attacker's wallet is still active. Funds are still being moved. No recovery so far.

This was NOT a smart contract bug. It was a private key leak. The oldest and most dangerous vulnerability in crypto.

Stay safe. Protect your keys. Trust no one with admin access.
