I just read about the runoff in the Texas primaries, and honestly, things are getting interesting. It turns out neither Paxton nor Cornyn reached the 50% needed, so they will have to face off again on May 26. The strange thing is that these two come from completely different political backgrounds.

Paxton has been Texas Attorney General for over ten years and is practically Abbott’s right-hand man. He has a background in law and psychology, and before his current position, he worked as a lawyer for years. Cornyn, on the other hand, has been a senator since 2002 and is running for his fifth term. He was a judge, served on the state Supreme Court, and was also a prosecutor. Basically, they are two heavyweight politicians.

What no one knows is whether Trump will endorse anyone. Cornyn had a nasty clash with him years ago, calling him reckless over January 6, and Trump responded that he’s only a Republican in name. Paxton, on his side, has Abbott’s support. So in Texas, this could be decided depending on who Trump chooses to back in the race. Meanwhile, the Democrats see an opportunity, although honestly, they haven’t won any state elections there since the 90s. Do you think Trump will get involved in this?
