I just found out where the 2026 World Cup final will be, and it's pretty ironic. They will be played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, the same stadium where Argentina almost won the Copa America recently. So if they reach the final, they'll have to go back to the same place where they already won important matches. Kind of crazy, right?

What surprises me is that this World Cup is completely different from all the previous ones. There will be 48 teams instead of 32, a total of 104 matches, and the venues are spread across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This is the first time it's been organized this way. MetLife has a capacity of over 82,000 people, and before the final, seven other matches will be played there, including some from the group stage.

If Argentina wants to defend the title they won in Qatar 2022, they'll have to make it to New Jersey. The interesting part is that the stadium already hosted the Copa America Centenario final in 2016, so it has experience hosting important decisions. Keep in mind that Brazil has won five World Cups, Germany and Italy have four each, and Argentina has three. The competition will be tough, but I know many will be paying attention to where the final will be played and who will compete in July 2026.
