Cracked heels really become a concern during seasonal changes, don't they? Socks catch on them, and pantyhose run... So recently, I’ve tried various heel creams, but honestly, it’s hard to decide which one to choose. You might wonder if body lotion is enough, or if just moisturizing can really improve the condition—that kind of doubt is understandable.
When I actually compared several popular products, I realized that three factors are quite important: moisturizing ability, stickiness, and fragrance. Even at similar prices, the feel of each product can be quite different.
First, for highly moisturizing heel creams, ヘルシーフィート from ディープモイストフットクリーム by コウンバル, 韓国製 left a strong impression. A few hours after applying, I could feel a significant increase in moisture content in my heels. Since it’s fragrance-free, I didn’t have to worry about scent, which was great. However, a downside is that it tends to be sticky, and walking barefoot on the floor immediately after applying felt like it was sticking to the flooring.
On the other hand, Dr. Scholl’s heel moisturizing cream comes in a tube, making it easy to use, and its gel-like texture absorbs well. It also provides sufficient hydration, but it still leaves a somewhat sticky feeling.
For those concerned about stickiness, Baby Foot’s ディープモイストフットクリーム is recommended. It has a light, non-greasy feel, perfect for people who want to put on socks right after application. However, the moisturizing effect might be a bit lacking.
I also tried the Korean-made コウンバル series, which is attractive because of its large capacity and ease of continued use. The moisturizing ability isn’t bad, but the unique scent might be a matter of personal preference.
Ultimately, I think choosing based on your priorities is the best approach. If you prioritize moisture, you might accept some stickiness; if you dislike stickiness, you may need to compromise on hydration; and if you’re sensitive to scents, fragrance-free options are the way to go. I hope you find a heel cream that suits you and helps solve your heel problems.
