Deep Tide TechFlow message. April 02, according to data from JIN10, Elon Musk informed a judge along with the U.S. SEC that both sides are heading toward a trial to resolve the regulator’s accusations that Musk deceived investors in the social media platform before he acquired Twitter in 2022. The report on the parties’ joint case progress, filed with the U.S. Federal Court in Washington on Wednesday local time, was released as it had been only two weeks since the lawyers for both sides said they were negotiating a settlement. In the new filing, the attorneys said they and their client had discussed alternative dispute resolution options.

The document states: “Both sides believe that, in the current circumstances, the court’s alternative dispute resolution procedures or any other form of alternative dispute resolution would be of no benefit to this case.” Musk has recently run into setbacks in other legal cases related to his acquisition of Twitter four years ago.
