I specifically looked into this quantum computing. I initially thought it could exhaustively enumerate all private keys and public keys to gain control over all bitcoins. Later, I realized it only has the potential to crack addresses that have exposed public keys. To exhaustively search all Bitcoin public-private key pairs, it would take far more energy than the entire solar system has. So, Google's quantum computing doesn't threaten the fundamental security of Bitcoin. A small upgrade can easily fix this.
