Ministry of Finance: Actively cooperate in legislative work such as the Consumption Tax Law by 2026

In 2026, the Ministry of Finance will accelerate efforts to amend, repeal, and revise fiscal laws and regulations, implement the legislative work plans of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, and the State Council’s legislative work plan, and actively cooperate in advancing legislation including the Law on Certified Public Accountants (Amendment), the Consumption Tax Law, the Government Procurement Law (Amendment), the Tax Collection and Administration Law (Amendment), the Social Assistance Law, the State-Owned Assets Law, and others. On March 30, the Ministry of Finance released its 2025 Annual Report on the Development of a Law-Based Government, clearly outlining the above arrangements. (Xinhua)
