If you want exposure to #Bitcoin and you want to stay compliant with regulations while keeping things safe, the best option is to choose a $BTC ETF (USA) or ETP (Europe). They’re very easy to buy through stock exchanges and banks, and they make taxes and regulatory compliance straightforward.
The two biggest asset managers BlackRock and Fidelity are effectively “too big to fail,” which makes them among the safest choices. Both charge a 0.25% annual fee, which is as low as a typical U.S. index fund. BlackRock’s $IBIT holds 783,740 BTC, and Fidelity’s $FBTC holds 221,000 BTC.
This is what I recommend to family and friends who want Bitcoin exposure without the technical knowledge required for self‑custody. The risk of keeping your BTC on a crypto exchange is extremely high. Your account can be banned or frozen at any time, and you’ve literally signed documents stating you have no rights or protections. Never keep a serious amount of money on any crypto exchange.
This is my honest opinion.
Not financial advice.
