Guys, I just noticed how much the situation with solving photo-based problems has changed. I remember it used to be difficult, but now you just point the camera at the example and get a full breakdown. Tried several services — the impressions are interesting.

Started with Photomath — great for math. Quickly recognizes both printed and handwritten examples, shows step-by-step solutions from a photo. The only downside is that it’s specialized — it doesn’t handle physics or chemistry. Mathway is similar, but the interface seemed more user-friendly for students. Also works well for solving problems from photos, although it sometimes confuses handwritten text.

Then I came across MathGPT — it’s interesting because it covers not only math but also physics and chemistry. Free, no registration needed. Upload a photo of the problem or enter the condition — and you get a detailed solution with graphs. The only thing is, the interface is in English, which isn’t convenient for younger students.

Wolfram|Alpha is a powerful tool. It doesn’t just look for answers but computes, plots graphs, and provides proofs. Covers hundreds of topics. But photo recognition is only available in the paid version.

There’s also Symbolab — a good math calculator with detailed steps, from simple operations to integrals. And BotHub, which aggregates different neural networks (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) in one place — versatile for any discipline, not just photo problem solving.

Honestly, the choice depends on what you need. For school math — Photomath or Mathway. For higher mathematics and science — Wolfram|Alpha. For a combo of math, physics, and chemistry — MathGPT. If you need versatility — BotHub or just a powerful neural network like ChatGPT 5.2 or Gemini 3 Pro. They handle any discipline thanks to their broad knowledge base. I personally like to combine several tools depending on the task.
