Odaily Planet Daily reports that, according to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and “RT,” Iran’s Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Chairman Ebrahim Aziz wrote on April 1 to urge U.S. President Trump, saying that the Strait of Hormuz would definitely reopen, but not to the United States. On the same day, Aziz posted on the social platform X, saying, “Trump has finally realized his ‘regime-change’ dream—just in the maritime order of the region!” “The Strait of Hormuz will definitely reopen, but it won’t be open to you (the United States); it will be open only to those countries that comply with Iran’s new laws.” Aziz added that the era of a “welcoming” hospitality lasting 47 years is gone for good. The BBC explained that Aziz was referring to the period since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. (Global Network)
