I’m leaving @NEARProtocol

After building @DeFiShardsxyz here for a while, i’ve started to notice a pattern:
The foundation doesn’t care if your app survives or dies. It’s all a race against time
On paper, it’s all beautiful as we have intents, chain abstraction, agentic marketplace and privacy embedded
Everyone here is talking about onboarding the next billion users
but right now it’s mostly,
- builders using each others products
- funded by each others grants
- tweeting at each others metrics
Transactions worth billions of dollars have been processed but the mentality of the users are still borderline degen
Everyone here just wants quick exits
Slap a token for your app and you’ll be celebrated until your treasury goes to zero
And the wild part is everything works
which somehow makes it much worse
As a builder in your early stages, you expect support from people who’ve made it but that’s nowhere to be found on this chain
So yeah, i’m leaving NEAR and migrating to some other chain
It was a decent run so far and I wish you all good luck 🤞
