Most Nigerian youths between 18–30 have checked out of politics.
To them, it’s a waste of time.
“Just make money and face your life” that’s the mindset.
Yesterday, I tried to have a political conversation…
and someone said, “please forget about this thing.”
I didn’t argue. I just smiled.
But the truth is painful:
You can ignore politics… but politics will never ignore you.
You say you don’t like politics, yet
You sleep in darkness → Politics
You struggle to pay rent → Politics
You graduate without a job → Politics
You enter hospitals with no equipment → Politics
You drive on broken roads → Politics
You live with fear and insecurity → Politics
You buy fuel at crazy prices → Politics
You can’t afford food → Politics
You earn a salary that can’t sustain you → Politics
This is not coincidence.
This is not bad luck.
This is definitely not an act of God cos no prayer or fasting can fix it.
This is policy. This is leadership. This is politics.
The painful part?
Many of you don’t even know your Local Government Chairman.
You don’t know your House of Representatives member.
You don’t know who is responsible…
But you are living with the consequences every single day.
You say your goal is to make money. That’s fine.
But understand this:
No matter how much you make, bad governance will reduce its value.
You cannot outrun a broken system.
You cannot hustle your way out of poor leadership forever.
At some point, it will catch up with you.
So no… politics is not a waste of time.
Ignoring politics is.
Wait make BaBa enter 2027.... unu ga afu nke toro john 🤣🤣🤣
