On April 1st, 2026, United China Airlines issued an announcement to adjust the fuel surcharge collection standards for passenger air transportation on domestic routes of United China Airlines Co., Ltd.
For passenger tickets sold on and after April 5th, 2026 (inclusive), United China Airlines Co., Ltd. will adjust the collection standards for fuel surcharges for passengers on domestic routes.
The fuel surcharge collection standard for passengers on domestic routes is as follows: for flight segments of 800 kilometers (inclusive) or below, a fuel surcharge of RMB 60 shall be collected per passenger; for flight segments above 800 kilometers, a fuel surcharge of RMB 120 shall be collected per passenger.
For special passenger groups, fuel surcharges follow differentiated collection rules. Among them, infants who, in accordance with relevant regulations, are entitled to domestic civil aviation adult standard fares at 10% will be exempt from fuel surcharges; children who, in accordance with relevant regulations, purchase domestic civil aviation adult standard fares at 50% (including unaccompanied children), revolutionary disabled veterans and the disabled servicemembers due to revolutionary causes, and people’s armed police officers who are disabled on duty, will have the fuel surcharge collected at half the applicable segment standard. Specifically, for flight segments of 800 kilometers (inclusive) or below, the fuel surcharge collected per passenger will be RMB 30; for flight segments above 800 kilometers, the fuel surcharge collected per passenger will be RMB 60.
For international tickets, the fuel surcharge amount shall be determined according to the system’s actual calculation result. The fuel surcharge chargeable date shall be based on the original ticket issuance date. For domestic passenger tickets sold before April 5th, 2026, if they are changed to on or after April 5th, 2026 (inclusive), the already collected fuel surcharge will not be refunded and no additional compensation will be provided.
