The European Commission approves a €1.5 billion defense industry work plan

People’s Finance News, March 30—At local time on March 30, the European Commission approved an €1.5 billion European Defense Industry Work Program, aimed at addressing the urgent challenges facing Europe’s defense and security sector by boosting industrial production capacity, strengthening cooperation with Ukraine, and reinforcing joint European procurement. It is understood that more than €700 million will be used to support the scale-up production of key defense components and products, including anti-drone systems, missiles, and ammunition. In addition, the European Common Interest Defense Project will receive €325 million to launch and implement cooperative industrial projects. (CCTV News)
