In three years of the crypto world, I went from a newbie getting wrecked to semi-aware, and only then did I realize what true "harvesting" really means.

When I first entered the scene, I thought I was here to make money. But in reality, I got liquidated twice in a month, bombarded by airdrop groups, new coin launch groups, and project team chat groups. Whoever shouted "This coin is going to rise," I would rush in, ending up with all air coins. At that time, I didn't realize that I was just a weed waiting to be harvested.

In the second year, I changed my approach and started copying trades, thinking I had hitched a ride on a big wave. In truth, I was just being used as "liquidity" to take the other side. Only then did I slowly see clearly: so-called "signal calls" are essentially just "dumping."

The real awakening came in the third year. After building my own circle and observing many people and projects, I finally understood the truth about harvesting weeds — it’s not just a simple scam, but a carefully crafted script. The project teams have calculated every step, just waiting for retail investors to rush in, then slowly harvest.

Thinking about those tactics, they are truly terrifyingly classic. First, they draw grand visions, with whitepapers that blow everything out of proportion, and communities full of brainwashing phrases like "financial freedom." Then they create FOMO, telling you "Hurry up, now is the best time to enter." Next, they find endorsements — big influencers, exchanges about to list, certain institutions investing — to build confidence. When the price spikes, retail investors rush in, and finally, they dump and harvest — project teams and early players cash out, leaving a mess behind.

You think you're investing in a project, but the script has already been written, and you're just the actor. That’s the most heartbreaking part of harvesting weeds.

Now I only believe in three things: projects with real use cases and products, judgments based on logic rather than just "feeling it will go up," and strategies with risk control instead of reckless gambling. The crypto world, in essence, is a battlefield that amplifies human desires — those who can't control greed will be the ones to get harvested.
