I want to share a few tips about the important trading hours during the day according to Vietnam time, because it really affects how I set up my positions.
The European session's timing depends on the season. Currently, it's summer, so the European (London) session starts at 14:00 and ends at 23:00 Vietnam time. In winter, it would be from 15:00 to 00:00. The American (New York) session in summer is from 19:00 to 04:00 Vietnam time, and in winter from 20:00 to 05:00.
The most important thing is what time the European session is and when it overlaps with the US session. From 19:00 to 23:00 Vietnam time is the overlap period between the two sessions, which is when the market is hottest — high liquidity, continuous economic news, and volatile price movements. I usually pay the most attention during this time.
Additionally, the beginning of the European session (14:00-15:00) and the start of the US session (19:00-20:00) often see volatility due to important economic reports, especially figures from the US related to USD. If you trade forex or currency pairs, knowing the European session timing and these timeframes will help you avoid risks or seize bigger opportunities.
