According to monitoring by 1M AI News, ByteDance’s AI programming tool Trae has launched its Agent product SOLO for desktop and web, starting beta testing today. SOLO offers a dual-mode intelligent agent: the Code mode focuses on programming development scenarios, while the MTC mode supports general tasks such as writing proposals and data analysis, making it suitable for various roles including development, product, data, and operations. The new version features a three-column workspace, leveraging cloud computing power to support multiple tasks running in parallel. SOLO automatically breaks down tasks and calls tools to complete execution, requiring users to simply submit their needs and acceptance results. It supports processing various file formats including JSON, Python, PPTX, and CSV, with outputs displayed directly on the tool panel. The desktop version currently supports macOS only. The Chinese version can be downloaded from trae.cn, while the international web version can be accessed at solo.trae.ai. Both versions require an invitation code and are temporarily available for free.
