Let's talk about one of the most important concepts in trading that beginners often underestimate. Retest is what you should expect before entering a trade.
You know when the price breaks a certain level and then returns to it? That's not a coincidence. At this level, a lot of liquidity has accumulated, and the market will keep returning there again and again. A retest shows that the level is truly significant — it acts like a magnet for the price.
People often jump into a trade immediately after a breakout, but that's a mistake. Waiting for a retest gives you a much more favorable entry point. This level will attract the price regardless of whether we're moving up or down. Retests work on all timeframes — on five-minute candles, hourly, daily. The period doesn't matter.
Practicing patience for a retest is actually a lesson in discipline. You don't need to trade every breakout. It's better to wait until the price returns to the broken zone and then consider entering. Any trading setup or pattern — they all have retests. This is a universal principle.
So don't rush. Wait for the retest, and your trading will become much more effective.
