I looked at the GDP per capita statistics for 2025 and honestly was shocked by the huge gap between countries. South Sudan with $251 per person is simply shocking. Yemen, Burundi, and the Central African Republic are also in critical condition. Most of these poorest countries are in Africa, which indicates serious economic problems in the region.

It's interesting to compare neighbors. For example, Nigeria has $807, while the DRC has only $743. Tanzania has $1,280, but that's still very low. Even India with $2,878 remains in the lower part of the global ranking, despite being the third-largest economy by volume.

I notice that the poorest countries in the world are clearly those with conflicts or political instability. Sudan, Somalia, Yemen—this is no coincidence. Without peace and stability, development is simply impossible. It will be interesting to see how this changes in the coming years.
