ME News message, March 31 (UTC+8). DeFi project Steakhouse Financial has released the latest updates regarding a recent security incident. It stated that the Steakhouse.financial website is still offline, and the DNS records point to blank, but the Steakhouse Vaults website is fully operational and can be accessed directly via Morpho. Deposits, withdrawals, and all vault functions are operating normally. After the frontend is restored, users will receive confirmation messages. Steakhouse said the attack originated from a phone-based social engineering attack targeting OVH Cloud. Through this, the attacker obtained domain management permissions for steakhouse financial, pointed the DNS A records of the official website and the app subdomains to a malicious IP, and also attempted to initiate a domain transfer with a 5-day lock period. The official statement said that all related changes have been rolled back; the domain records have been temporarily cleared for now. The vaults, smart contracts, and all deposited funds have not been affected, and users’ assets are safe. (Source: Foresight News)
