ME News update: On March 31 (UTC+8), the DeFi project Steakhouse Financial released the latest progress regarding the prior security incident. It stated that the Steakhouse.financial website is still offline, the DNS records point to blank, but the Steakhouse Vaults website is fully operational and can be accessed directly via Morpho. Deposits, withdrawals, and all vault functions are all operating normally. After the frontend is restored, users will receive a confirmation message. Steakhouse said this attack stemmed from a telephone social engineering attack targeting OVH Cloud. The attacker used it to obtain the steakhouse financial domain management permissions, and then directed the DNS A records of the official website and the App subdomains to a malicious IP, while also attempting to initiate a domain transfer with a 5-day lock-up period. The official statement said that all related changes have been rolled back, and that the domain records have been temporarily set to blank. The vaults, smart contracts, and all deposited funds are not affected, and users’ assets are safe. (Source: Foresight News)
