I did some research on halal cryptocurrencies, and it's interesting to see how some coins truly adhere to Islamic principles. Basically, they avoid Riba (interest), Gharar (uncertainty), and Maisir (gambling). Bitcoin and Ethereum clearly fall into this list of halal cryptocurrencies because they are decentralized and interest-free. Solana also qualifies, with its fast transactions and decentralized structure.
For stablecoins, USDT and USDC are considered compliant. XRP, Dogecoin, Cardano, Chainlink—they all check the boxes. BNB is included for its utility, Litecoin, Polkadot, Avalanche are similar. I also see Wrapped Bitcoin, Stellar, Hedera, NEAR, Dai, Cosmos, and Algorand on the list of halal cryptocurrencies. VeChain and Ethereum Classic complete the picture.
The logic is simple: if the coin doesn't have an interest mechanism built in, is decentralized, and there's no reckless speculation or voluntary uncertainty, it can work. Of course, I’m not saying this is an exhaustive list—other projects might also qualify. Do you know of any others that meet these criteria?
