Is the BNB ecosystem coin crazy about changing the token economy? Don't be fooled, it's just a different way to cut the leeks!
Recently, projects within the BNB ecosystem have been piling up to do "token economy reforms." It looks lively, but I can't help but laugh. Take ASTER as an example: originally, 1% was unlocked each month (about 78.4 million tokens), now they say they’ve changed it to only 2.2 million tokens unlocked per month. Retail investors see this and think, wow, the selling pressure has suddenly decreased—great news! But if you think carefully, is that really the key issue?
Is the fundamental reason for the price collapse really due to this small amount of unlocking now? Wrong. The core issue is that there’s no profit! If a project isn’t making money itself, lacks real revenue-generating ability and application scenarios, then changing the token economy is just fooling oneself.
Don’t be fooled by the fact that now only a couple of million are unlocked each month; ASTER’s total supply is a whopping 8 billion tokens! At an unlocking rate of less than 30 million per year, does that mean unlocking for 200 years? That’s obviously against common sense. The current “slow” pace is just to match the narrative at hand, inflate expectations, and lure retail investors to chase high. Once the chips are distributed enough, the future tens of billions of sell pressure will inevitably come crashing down in ways you can’t imagine, knocking out those who chased the high—haha.
What’s even more terrifying is this kind of “arbitrariness.” They can change the rules as they please, do whatever they want, even rewrite the rules at the white paper level. No wonder many projects now are doing “token distribution agency” schemes, muddying the waters. In a game where the rules are entirely defined unilaterally by the big players, retail investors have no say at all.
In summary, changing the token economy only delays the arrival of the scythe, but doesn’t change its essence. Coins without fundamentals and profit support, no matter how they’re packaged, will ultimately end up a mess. Watch closely, everyone—this show has just begun. Let’s sit back and enjoy the show, and definitely don’t get caught up in chasing the hype! $BNB $ASTER $LISTA
