"White House Calls for Arab Countries to Contribute to the Cost of the Iran War."
On March 30, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt confirmed that Trump "really wants" to call on Arab countries to pay for the war effort. She said this is an idea the president is contemplating, and the public "will hear more about this soon."
Ms. Leavitt stated: "I think that's something the President is very eager to call on them to do. I won't speak for him on this, but it's definitely an idea I know he has. I believe you'll hear him talk more about this."
The proposal was made amid strong opposition from Congress to the White House's request to approve an additional $200 billion for the conflict.
