What is the obsession that Brother Jie often talks about? Let me share my example with everyone.

In the past, there was a coin called wlfi. Brother Jie told me that this coin might first rise sharply, then fall back to the original point, just like Trump Media and trump币. He also told me that the coin has too many tokens, so it might not follow that pattern, and I should definitely hedge my position. But I became obsessed with the first part he mentioned.
This coin only allocated me 20% of the initial batch, so I kept wanting to go long on it, to catch its first surge, then sell. Later, because of my obsession with this coin, I lost a lot of money. My problem here was ignoring reality and always wanting to hold on.
What is obsession in trading?
It’s when we forget discipline and insist on doing something no matter what.
Just like Brother Jie told us, he feels where he can short and where he needs to take losses. He’s a very flexible person. The market is very unpredictable. If the trend turns out differently, just cut your losses.
When you reach your stop-loss point, don’t hesitate to cut. Or if you don’t cut and then try to open a new position to recover the loss, that’s gambling behavior.
Gao Ge once told me that trading contracts is like buying and selling. Every trade has a cost. Before opening a position, you should think about your stop-loss. The money you set aside for stop-loss is your cost of entry.
Before opening a trade, don’t just think about how much you can make; also consider how much you might lose. And this loss should be something you can accept without obsession—if you lose it, so be it. Wait for the next opportunity.
So, if you’re like me and a rookie trader, once you hit your stop-loss, don’t keep participating recklessly. If you’re still upset about the loss, that’s obsession. What we need to do is play calmly. If you get beaten and still want to open a new trade to recover your money, chances are you’ll just get beaten again.
Be water.
