March 29th report: US Democratic Senator Andy Kim from New Jersey has urged President Trump not to send ground troops to Iran. Kim, a former diplomat, stated in an interview with CNN on Sunday morning that deploying ground troops to Iran would only prolong the conflict and further increase risks, especially after so many military personnel have already been placed in danger. Kim also questioned the purpose of such an extremely risky action. This comes after a report by The Wall Street Journal indicated that the US Department of Defense is considering sending up to 10,000 additional ground troops to the Middle East. While the specific deployment locations for these troops remain unclear, they would likely be positioned within range to strike Iran and its oil export hub on Kharg Island.
