JUST IN: The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) sent warning letters to Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, and Stripe demanding that they not deny services to customers based on their political opinions, religious beliefs, or legal activities.


The move increases regulatory pressure on a practice known as debanking and opens the door to potential investigations if the companies violate their own terms or users' reasonable expectations.
