If you want full compatibility for overseas software, you still need an Apple device. But there's a problem: the Chinese version of Apple has many features cut, such as AI. Another issue is eSIM—American versions of Apple iPhones can support up to 8 eSIM profiles, but the Chinese version doesn't have eSIM functionality. Actually, eSIM cards are not expensive, and many apps require verification with a foreign phone number, which can be quite troublesome.
