Odaily Planet Daily reports that Iranian media stated that the Bushehr nuclear power plant was attacked on the night of March 27, with no damage to the plant reported and no casualties reported so far. The report indicated that the plant is operational and stores a large amount of radioactive material, and an attack on it could trigger a serious nuclear accident. The United States and Israel’s attacks on facilities for the peaceful use of nuclear energy violate international law and pose a serious security threat to the region. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) announced late on the 27th that it had received a report from Iran indicating that the Bushehr nuclear power plant was attacked again that day, marking the third attack on the plant within ten days. The Iranian report also stated that the operating reactor was not damaged, and there was no radiation leak. The IAEA stated that its Director General Grossi urged all parties to exercise maximum military restraint to avoid the risk of a nuclear accident.
