Cen Haohui will attend the Boao Asia Forum 2026 Annual Conference plenary session.
The Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Ho Iat Seng, will travel to Hainan Province tomorrow (the 25th) until the 26th to attend the plenary session of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2026, which will be held on the morning of the 26th. Specially invited as a consultant for the delegation is Bian Lixin, the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Macao. The Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2026 will take place from March 24 to 27 in Hainan, under the theme “Shaping a Shared Future: New Situations, New Opportunities, New Cooperation.” In the face of dramatic global changes, the conference will engage in in-depth discussions on topics such as injecting certainty into an uncertain world, investing in the future, the role of global South countries in improving global economic governance, Asia’s leading role in the transformation of the world economy, the new patterns of global trade under the impact of tariff wars, the challenges and prospects of global climate governance, and maintaining common economic security, in order to build consensus and enhance confidence, providing more certainty and positive energy for a world undergoing turbulent changes. Meanwhile, with the national “14th Five-Year Plan” set to be implemented, China has made a series of new deployments to expand high-level opening-up, and through the conference, it will better grasp new opportunities for investment in China and achieve win-win outcomes. During Ho Iat Seng’s absence from Macao, the Secretary for Administration and Justice, Wong Sio Chak, will temporarily act as the Chief Executive. (Voice of the Greater Bay Area)
