According to statistics from the China Spice, Flavor and Cosmetic Industry Association, by 2025, the market size of China’s cosmetics industry will exceed 1.1 trillion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 2.8%. The sales share of domestic brands accounts for 57.4%, continuing a steady growth trend.

This information was disclosed at the 2026 National Cosmetics Supervision and Administration Work Conference held on March 24.

Data shows that cosmetic exports have maintained rapid growth for several consecutive years. According to the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products, in 2025, China’s total cosmetic export value will reach 7.82 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 9.2%.

A relevant person from the National Medical Products Administration stated that overall, the industry’s development shows a good trend of mutual promotion between domestic and international dual circulation, with scale advantages, market vitality, and development resilience further emerging.
