Iran Situation | U.S. Department of Defense Worried About Supply of Tomahawk Cruise Missiles
According to a report by The Washington Post citing informed sources, in the four-week war with Iran, the U.S. military has launched over 850 cruise missiles. The rapid consumption of these precision-guided weapons has caused concern among some Pentagon officials and triggered internal discussions about how to increase supply.
Although Reuters could not verify the report, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated in a statement to Reuters that the U.S. military’s ammunition, reserves, and stockpiles are more than sufficient to achieve the goals of President Trump’s “Operation Epic Fury,” and there is even some surplus.
The statement also noted, “Nevertheless, Trump has been highly focused on strengthening our armed forces and will continue to urge defense contractors to accelerate the production of American-made weapons, which are the best in the world.”
