UN Secretary-General establishes a dedicated task force on the Strait of Hormuz situation

Odaily Planet Daily reported that on March 27 local time, UN Secretary-General spokesperson Dujarric commented on the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, stating that as the Middle East conflict continues to develop and may further escalate, the disruption of maritime trade through the Strait of Hormuz could trigger a chain reaction in the coming months, affecting humanitarian needs and agricultural production. Although Secretary-General Guterres is committed to making every effort to achieve a comprehensive and lasting resolution to the conflict, it is crucial to take immediate action to mitigate these consequences. To address these challenges, the Secretary-General has established a dedicated working group. (CCTV News)
