Russian presidential press secretary: Russia and the U.S. maintain contact on Ukraine issues
People’s Financial News, March 25 — On March 25, local time, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Peskov stated at a briefing that each round of negotiations on Ukraine brings the solution closer to being achieved. Russia and the United States continue their contacts regarding Ukraine and have received information about the negotiation process from both the U.S. and Ukrainian sides. Peskov pointed out that the mediation of the Ukraine issue must consider Russia’s interests, and Russia expects the U.S. to continue playing a mediating role in the Ukraine negotiations. He emphasized that Russia welcomes the resumption of any form of dialogue between Russia and the U.S., including parliamentary-level talks, as this is in the interests of both countries. Peskov also said that Russia continues to inform Turkey of all threats to the infrastructure of the “Turkish Stream” and “Blue Stream” natural gas pipelines. Russia believes Turkey can influence the Ukrainian government and remains vigilant against reckless actions taken by Ukraine. (CCTV News)
