Video surveillance startup Conntour recently completed a seed round financing, raising $7 million from investors including General Catalyst and Y Combinator. The company's AI platform enables security personnel to query camera footage using natural language, allowing real-time search for objects, people, or scenes. CEO Matan Goldner emphasized the company's selective approach to clients and cited existing large customers such as the Central Narcotics Bureau of Singapore. The platform is designed to be scalable, capable of monitoring up to 50 camera feeds simultaneously on a single consumer-grade GPU, and can be deployed locally, in the cloud, or through a hybrid solution.
