Valero Energy Corp is preparing to restart its 380,000 barrel-per-day Port Arthur, Texas, oil refinery this week, following an explosion and fire that occurred Monday. The incident, which caused no injuries, led to a temporary shutdown to extinguish the fire and is expected to bring production back to near maximum capacity. This restart comes at a time of strong refining margins due to global supply disruptions.
