Liquefied gas remains dominated by geopolitical factors. With the escalation of conflicts, Iran's attacks on Middle Eastern energy facilities have kept oil prices elevated and driven LNG prices higher from the cost side. Simultaneously, this has resulted in substantial production reductions for liquefied gas. Although PDH operating rates remain acceptable at present, the shortage on the feedstock side poses hidden risks for the future.
