1.1 million lost power in FirstEnergy storms; 35,400 still waiting

FirstEnergy (NYSE: FE) has restored power to over 97% of the nearly 1.1 million customers affected by recent windstorms between March 13-17, 2026, with approximately 35,400 customers still without service. A workforce of over 10,000 employees, contractors, and external resources are working continuously to restore power, with new outages also being addressed from recent winds and thunderstorms. Estimated restoration times (ETRs) have been set for most outages, with global ETRs for some areas including Met-Ed, JCP&L, and Mon Power to be announced later today.
