# Want to Survive and Make Steady Money in Crypto? Keep These Rules in Mind!
Making it in crypto relies on discipline, not luck. I've never been greedy with money management—I only risk two percent of my capital per trade, with maximum losses of one-tenth per position. Even if I'm wrong several times in a row, I'm never worried about opportunities to recover. When the market comes back, losses get covered and profits follow. Many people get stuck on "just wait a bit longer," but I have one principle: when it's time to exit, exit cleanly with no hesitation.
I never chase bottoms or guess the bottom. Catching falling knives on dips is just giving others a free ride. I only enter once the direction is clear, the trend is confirmed, and I wait for a pullback. When the market shows its own strength, the odds are more reliable. Those coins that pump like crazy or multiply several times over—I don't touch them at all. They look like juicy opportunities but they're all traps. Missing out isn't a loss; the real loss is being the last sucker holding the bag.
Don't overcomplicate indicators—MACD is enough: only consider entering on the first golden cross below zero, reduce on death cross above zero, and don't guess. Just follow the signal. There's only one condition for adding positions—you're already profitable. Adding to losing positions only amplifies mistakes. Adding on trend strength lets profits run. Combine this with volume: when volume breaks out, it's usually the whales moving, that's when it's smart to follow.
Bottom line: three principles—follow the trend, manage losses, stay patient. When multiple MAs point up, hold tight; when they weaken, exit. There's no guaranteed winning method; the key is whether you can actually execute. I've survived these years in crypto not just through technical skills, but by controlling my greed and gambling instincts.
It's easy to go astray on your own. Find the right direction, follow the right people, and you avoid countless pitfalls. If you're still feeling lost, let's chat. I can break down these practical experiences for you and help you avoid detours while building steady profits!
