# March 25, 2026 Spot Gold Midday Analysis
The spot gold trend during the early Asian session this morning was very active. After opening, it surged strongly, briefly reaching near $4,600 per ounce, setting the intraday high. However, the bulls failed to sustain their momentum. After the price reached this high level, many investors chose to take profits, causing gold prices to pull back. Subsequently, the price consolidated in a narrow range between $4,540-$4,560, overall maintaining the upper price range without any significant pullback. The bullish trend has not completely weakened for now.
From a news perspective, the impact is quite direct. On one hand, the weakening of the US dollar and US Treasury yields lowered the cost of holding gold, coupled with Middle East geopolitical tensions and safe-haven sentiment support, which drove gold prices higher in the morning session. On the other hand, there are signs of slight easing in the Middle East situation, combined with the substantial gains in gold prices recently, causing market profit-taking to trigger an outflow, resulting in gold prices pulling back after the rally. With mixed bullish and bearish factors intertwining, gold prices have entered a consolidation phase.
From a technical perspective, gold prices are currently in a short-term consolidation at elevated levels. The $4,600 level is an obvious resistance point that has failed to hold multiple times on the upside. Below that, the $4,520-$4,540 zone offers strong support. As long as this level doesn't break effectively, the short-term bullish pattern remains intact. If it breaks, gold prices would likely probe further toward the $4,500 level. Overall, gold prices are likely to maintain a range-bound consolidation during the midday session, making it difficult for a one-sided trend to emerge.
Suggestion: Consider accumulating long positions in batches near the $4,520-$4,500 zone, with targets around $4,560-$4,580-$4,600 levels.
