Tai Po Hong Fu Court Fire Independent Committee continues its hearing at 10 a.m. this morning, expecting the government and other involved parties’ legal representatives to present opening statements.

Senior barrister Sun Jingqian, representing the government, announced last week that his opening statement will explain the implementation of the mandatory building inspection program, small-scale engineering supervision system, and other related measures.

According to the witness testimony schedule posted on the committee’s website, three Hong Fu Court residents will be summoned to testify this afternoon.
